October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Blood and platelet transfusions during cancer treatments help repair and replace blood cells damaged by chemotherapy. Turn your support into action by donating blood at the Sno-Valley Senior Center Blood Drive taking place October 5. Show your support, beyond just a pink ribbon! Every eligible blood donor should join us to help save lives!
All donations are by appointment only. Start to finish, allow yourself an hour to make your blood donation. No walk-ins, guests, or people under age 16 are permitted onsite. Check in with photo ID. Come and join us for this new hour-long class where we will be learning the basics of many of today’s most popular dances, such as West Coast Swing, East Coast Swing, Nightclub Two Step, Salsa, as well as some dances from the Ballroom canon.
We’ll decide as a group which dances we want to learn, but let’s look at Nightclub Two Step to start off with. This is an easy flowing and relaxed dance to slow music such as “Lady in Red”, not to be confused with the faster Country Two Step. Bring comfortable shoes with a leather or suede sole and, if possible, come with a partner too! Class is FREE!
