“Spring into Gardening” at the Annual Plant and Garden Art Sale on Friday and Saturday, May 5-6, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Sno-Valley Senior Center, 4610 Stephens Ave. in Carnation.
Just in time for Mother’s Day, the Sno-Valley Senior Center’s annual plant sale features thousands of annuals, perennials, shrubs, vegetables and herbs as well as garden art and a delicious Bake Sale. Plant lovers will be treated to a wide variety of flowering plants; both the old favorites and the new and unusual.
Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer gardening questions and assist with color selections. Local artisans will sell hand-crafted garden art. Children will get to decorate flower pots and plant it! You can also buy some delicious home baked goodies from our popular bake sale. PLUS we will have 2 fantastic workshops:
“How to correctly prune your fruit tress”. Friday, May 5 at 11am Greg Giuliani, Orchardist for almost 20 years, member of Seattle Fruit Tree Society.
Learn basic fruit tree pruning techniques that will help you keep your fruit trees healthy and producing good quality fruit! A slide show presentation will address when, where, why and how to prune, when not to prune, and pruning alternatives. Also learn to produce bigger, better looking and better tasting fruit!
“Container Gardens Made Easy”. Saturday, May 6 at 10am. Myra Shoemaker of Aesthetics 425 LLC.

A silent auction will feature garden-related items.
