Sno-Valley Senior Center Plant Sale

“Spring into Gardening” with a trip to the Sno-Valley Plant and Garden Sale on Friday, May 5 and Saturday, May 6 from 9am-3pm at the Sno-Valley Senior Center, 4610 Stephens Ave in Carnation (just behind city hall). This is one of the largest plant sales on the Eastside and features annuals, perennials, shrubs, vegetables, herbs, fresh flowers and garden artists.

There will be great presentations/ demonstrations on Friday, starting at 10am. Saturday includes a kid’s area for children to decorate and plant a pot. Purchase your baskets at the link HERE.

First Picks Party

Early Birds always enjoy the First Picks Party! You get first pick of the Plant Sale items while enjoying music, your choice of drink, and a gift bag with snacks, dessert, and more (guaranteed if you register by Monday, May 1)!

This wonderful party, the night before our largest event of the year, is on Thursday, May 4 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at the Sno-Valley Senior Center in Carnation. Tickets are only $25 in advance ($40 per couple)  or $30 at the door. Ages 21+ only. Purchase tickets at the link HERE.

We are excited to welcome Karen Chapman, of Le jardinet, as a special guest! This fast-paced show-and-tell will help you choose those plants that thrive in our area, give you tips on selecting lower maintenance plants and ideas for creative a garden that you’ll love but that deer will leave alone (usually). She will also be there with her latest book, Deer Resistant Design: Gardens that Thrive Despite the Deer. 

Karen teaches both container and landscape design across the country as well as offering a range of online learning opportunities and leading international garden tours. She has been featured in many national gardening publications including Fine Gardening, Sunset, and Garden Design magazine.
